Saturday, May 25th will be the 2nd annual Gaslamp Music & Art Festival.   Over 10 stages will have bands rocking out all day.  Jazz, reggae, acoustic, blues, and rock bands will be providing musical entertainment, while a variety of artists’ paintings, sculptures, and photography will be on display.  The best part is that the festival happens right in the heart of the Gaslamp, with hundreds of bars and restaurants in the mix.

Also, mark your calendars for Saturday June 8th and Sunday June 9th for the 20th annual Taste of the Gaslamp Festival.  Over 30 restaurants will be showcasing their finest dishes from the city’s most accomplished chefs.   All ages are welcome to check out the food and festivities, and Samuel Adams will be hosting a beer tasting area for guests aged 21 and older.

Pre-sale tickets are only thirty dollars instead of forty, so be sure to buy yours before the day of the event.  Tickets are good for either Saturday or Sunday, and will guarantee your fair share of food and fun.   Whether you are looking for Mexican, Italian, Thai, American food, or any other cuisine, the Taste of the Gaslamp Festival will have it all.

The fair will be in town from June 8th through July 4th, but there won’t be nearly as much bacon as there will be on Sunday, June 16th.  San Diego’s best chefs and restaurants will be cooking up the tastiest bacon dishes imaginable as they compete for cash prizes.  There will also be bacon-themed cocktails, but this wouldn’t be a San Diego event without some of the area’s best craft breweries on hand.  Pig out, literally, and wash it all down with some of the best beer in the world.

Stone Brewing Co.

One of the most well known breweries in the area, Stone Brewing Co. has made a name for themselves by brewing bold, aggresive beers that are often high in alcohol and extremely hoppy (bitter).  Their Encinitas location allows for tours, dining and features a tasting room. We highly recommend their Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale and Russian Imperial Stout.
